I’m certainly not an expert in Latin, but I’m pretty sure “Credo” translates literally as “I believe” and not “We believe.” There’s some more information on that at this link.

A Creed cannot be changed through deletion-by-translation. I will continue to say the Nicene Creed: “We believe . . .”

“I believe” is very sound and solid theology – Baptist theology.
