For many of the 26 people who joined Bishop Mitchell T. Rozanski on a recent pilgrimage to the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, the spiritual highlight was praying in the presence of the famous icon known as Our Lady of Czechtochowa. The pilgrims had the honor of sitting only a few feet away from the “Black Madonna” as Bishop Rozanski led them in Marian prayers. Moved by the experience, several participants wiped away tears of joy. Check out this video report:

VIDEO REPORT: Infant of Prague has surprising tie to Baltimore
PRAGUE – Sometimes you have to travel half a world away to discover local angles to stories.
While visiting the magnificent Church of Our Lady Victorious in Prague this week, I learned that there is a connection between Baltimore and the Infant of Prague – the much-loved statue of the Christ Child located inside the famous Czech church. Here’s a video report on that surprising link, along with some background of the statue.
